Allan Cox is a well-known board consultant and CEO coach whose career spans more than 30 years and includes work with numerous global corporations. He began his career in executive search with Spencer Stuart & Associates and was a member of that firm's management committee. He has served on boards of three privately-held firms and for five years as board chairman of Chicago's Center for Ethics and Corporate Policy. Among his previous seven books are Confessions of a Corporate Headhunter and Straight Talk for Monday Morning. He's written frequently for New York Times Sunday Business, various airline magazines, Chief Executive magazine and Across the Board. For four years he wrote a weekly business column for The Los Angeles Times Syndicate. He maintains offices in Chicago and San Diego.
